TOP DOG

So this is just got to be the cutest picture, but then maybe this second picture will be.  So if you are wondering why this big mountain in our yard with a green tarp on top--it ia pile of wood shavings from Intermountain Wood Products. That's right. The same place Sean use to work at. Brad Banks had brought a load of wood shavings in one of his big trailers to the neighborhood, first to the McIntyres, then when that didn't put a dent in the load, they called and asked Doug if he wanted any of this. He agreed not really knowing how much this entailed. Brad delivered it last night. We have been on the phone calling various neighbors for them to come get some of this. Its a lot. We found in our cleaning out the tack room an old round green tarp, that Doug didn't even know we had. It just happened to fit perfectly over this big pile. Cooper tried digging away at the sawdust right away, so we tarped it, and then he saw it as a mountain to sit on.  Pretty funny--the king of the world. He's usually on top of the straw--but he has whittled that down to not very high.  At least he will be top dog until we remove this sawdust a wheelbarrow at a time down to nothing.
And of course today is Emory's birthday. She is way pumped about being 9 years old. She even got breakfast in bed. She saw this picture setting on the desk upstairs and was asking about it. Isn't this the cutest picture ever (you will have to vote on which one is the cutest).  So here Pecos is the colt in the picture with Doug, Sean, Jessie and baby Noble.  That Doug had the audacity to lead Pecos into the house is amazing. But it does make for a topic of conversation when you see this picture. I guess that has been about 9-10 years ago--2002??
It is so important to find the good and wonderful in every day, in our lives instead of focusing on the rotten, and terrible, sad, or whatever.  It is the age old dilemna, what Adam and Eve were instructed to do--learn to discern between good and evil. Sometimes that means you have to forcibably kick out the negative, and only focus on what is good. That is what I am trying to do today. There is some sad, bad news all the time, and we can focus on that, wring our hands, etc  OR  we can (with God's help and the Atonement) work at focusing on good. Don't these pictures bring lots of good feelings and memories.  Love you all Mom
